“Never give up”: Escrig fights to the end in Brno

The Brno circuit hosted another round of the Moto2 World Championship this weekend, where Alex Escrig once again showed positive signs in his development as a rider in the intermediate category, despite a final result that does not fully reflect the work done in the previous days.

On Friday, in wet track conditions, Escrig showed good adaptation to the technical Czech asphalt, riding solidly in free practice. On Saturday, with a dry track and more stable temperatures, he managed to step up his pace, although it was not enough to reach Q2, so he started from the eighth row of the grid.

Sunday's race took place in completely different conditions: higher temperatures and variable grip levels made it difficult to overtake. Escrig maintained a steady pace throughout the race, crossing the finish line in 21st position after a race that required a lot of management and effort.

‘I'm partially happy with the weekend because we had good race pace, although there are still several areas where we need to improve, such as the starts. We can't give up. We have to keep working with focus and drive to continue growing this project, also thinking about next year,’ said Alex after getting off the bike.

This Monday, Escrig will remain in Brno for an official test day, a key opportunity to continue fine-tuning technical details before the summer break. The rider is already looking ahead to the Red Bull Ring, where the championship will resume with the Austrian Grand Prix from 15 to 17 August.
