The rhythm accompanies Alex Escrig at the opening of Balaton Park

The Moto2 World Championship arrived at the Balaton Park circuit for the first time, and Alex Escrig made his mark from day one. On a track that was new to everyone, the Valencian rider achieved one of his milestones of the year: direct access to Q2 on Friday, an achievement that confirms the good work he has been doing with his team.

Throughout the weekend, times were extremely tight, which raised the bar even higher. Escrig not only rose to the challenge, but also showed clear improvement in both qualifying and race pace.

In Sunday's race, after a difficult start in which he lost several positions on the first lap, Alex kept his cool and fought until the end to finish in 17th place, very close to the top 15 and the points. Despite the result, the overall assessment is positive: the pace is there, and the team now knows where to focus its efforts to take the next step.

Alex Escrig: “Overall, the weekend has been quite positive. I'm happy to have made it straight into Q2, although I would have liked to have secured a better position on the grid. I started the race feeling very motivated, but I lost a lot of positions on the first lap and that affected the rest of the race. Now it's time to analyse the data and start thinking about Barcelona.”

The next stop will be the Catalan Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. A demanding circuit well known to the teams, where Alex hopes to continue consolidating his progress and definitively close in on the points zone. The goal remains firm: to continue growing, continue fighting and transform hard work into results.
