The Grand Prix of the Americas, held at the iconic Austin circuit, brought positive feelings for Alex Escrig and the KLINT Forward Factory team. In a race marked by changeable weather conditions, the Spanish rider once again showed solidity by finishing in 15th position and scoring a new championship point for the second time in a row.
The rain made its appearance a few minutes before the start, forcing all the drivers to change tyres and start the race on wet compounds. Despite the added challenge this posed, Escrig was able to adapt quickly to the circumstances to secure a result that confirms his good momentum.
"Today the conditions changed suddenly on the grid, but we were right to use the rain tyres. Although the setting wasn't perfect, I'm happy because we made a big step forward compared to last year. There is still a lot of work to do, but we are still evolving. This point is proof of that. The objective is to keep growing and always fight for important positions, see you in Qatar," said Alex after the race.
The progression shown at the start of the season consolidates the work done together with the technical team. The objective remains to maintain the consistency in the points and to climb positions in the general standings.
The next meeting will be in Doha, Qatar, from 11-13 April, in what will be the last race outside Europe in this first part of the championship.
