Escrig improves pace and consistency at the Catalan Grand Prix

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya witnessed another step forward for Alex Escrig in a weekend marked by high competitiveness and increasingly narrow margins in Moto2. The Valencian rider once again showed clear signs of progress, closing in on the points zone and leaving a positive impression ahead of the next round in Misano.

During qualifying, Escrig missed out on a place in Q2 by just eight thousandths of a second, reflecting how close the championship is and the progress he has been making in performance with his team. This improvement in qualifying confirms the rider's steady progress, as he becomes increasingly competitive within the demanding Moto2 field.

During the race, Escrig maintained a solid and steady pace, crossing the finish line in 19th position. Although the result did not earn him any points, subsequent analysis indicates that the team is on the right track to achieve its short- and medium-term goals.

Alex Escrig: ‘The race was a bit strange. I expected to have a different pace, but in the end we were consistent and closed the gap. We are on the right track, so now we need to keep working and start thinking about the next races. Thank you to the team for their support and to all the sponsors who accompany us.’

With little time to rest, Escrig is already looking ahead to the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix, where he hopes to continue consolidating his progress. Misano represents a new opportunity to further reduce the points gap and demonstrate that the work is paying off.
