Alex Escrig completes a demanding German Grand Prix at Sachsenring

This weekend, the Sachsenring circuit hosted a new round of the Moto2 World Championship, where Alex Escrig had to face one of the most demanding challenges on the calendar: a technical track, with unstable weather and constant changes in track conditions.

The Valencian rider showed steady progress throughout the weekend, especially on Saturday, when he put in a strong performance in wet conditions during qualifying. On Sunday, once the race was underway, Escrig maintained a solid pace and a combative attitude in a very evenly matched field, finishing in 20th position.

‘The weekend started off a bit complicated, both because of how the bike felt and the condition of the track. I felt good in qualifying and was hoping for a better result. I wasn't competitive in the race, but we continue to gain experience. Now it's time to think about Brno, work hard and focus on getting back to the level we had at the start of the season,’ Escrig said after the race.

With this result, Escrig continues to accumulate kilometres and gain fundamental experience to consolidate his position in one of the most demanding categories in world motorcycling. His next event will be the Czech Republic Grand Prix, where he will seek to take a step forward and rediscover his good form.
