The Qatar Grand Prix brought the first part of the season outside Europe to an end, and for Alex Escrig and the KLINT Forward Factory team it was an intense event, marked by constant work and the gathering of key information to continue progressing.
The Valencian rider came close to qualifying for Q2 on Saturday, just one tenth of a second off the cut-off, which confirms his evolution and the competitiveness of the project. However, the race was not easy: a bad start conditioned his first laps, but Escrig was able to keep his concentration and climb up positions to finish 21st, in a very hard-fought race.
"It was a difficult weekend. We tested a new chassis and, although I couldn't find the best feeling on this track, we took some valuable data with us to keep working in the right direction. I feel competitive and I am looking forward to racing in Europe again", said Alex after the race.
Despite the difficulties, the balance is positive in terms of development. The team leaves Losail with added experience and is already looking ahead to the next round of the calendar: the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez de la Frontera, from 25-27 April.
There, Escrig will be looking to consolidate his progress in front of his fans and continue taking steps forward in a season full of challenges and learning.
